Furthermore, the CFL places particular emphasis on illegal crossings of tracks. The international Trespass Prevention Awareness Day (TRESPAD), commemorated on June 4, aims to raise public awareness of the risks involved near tracks and on railway rights-of-way in order to prevent accidents, incidents, and their potential victims. Trespassing on railway rights-of-way affects the entire railway sector, with a negative impact on safety, health, performance, reputation, costs, and efficiency.
