2023

To mark ILCAD 2023 Iarnród Éireann / Irish Rail in conjunction with An Garda Síochána (Irish Police) and the Road Safety Authority with the support of local authorities will hand over some safety flyers.

In 2022 to mark International Level Crossing Awareness Day 2022; Iarnród Éireann / Irish Rail in conjunction with An Garda Síochána (Irish Police) and the Road Safety Authority with the support of local authorities, undertook safety awareness information sessions at a number of level crossings on the Iarnród Éireann network throughout the day on the 9th of June. To mark the occasion and to further increase public awareness around Level Crossing Safety, Iarnród Éireann had commissioned a number of their Engineering Road fleet vehicles to have a custom wrap applied, displaying key safety messages. These vehicles were displayed on the day and introduced into the engineering road fleet in the urban centres where the high usage level crossings are located.
